U-Grade or ULTIMATE is the highest tier of obtainable equipment and items. The first versions were introduced to the Global version on January 19th, 2016. They are only obtainable through the special Raid of each chapter (except chapter 1) and its Raid Shop.
The equipment stats and options are superior to regular SSS grade. They also drop a random weapon or armor effect, known from the Magic System.
U-Grade items are identifiable by the grey and black frames and cloudy backgrounds of their icons. They are also labeled with a 7-star badge.
They can be enhanced up to 9 times, unlike SSS grade equipment which reaches the MAX enhance state at 8.
Weapon Effects
Both Normal and Deity U-Grade pieces have special effects which are randomly generated when obtained. It is possible to enchant any equipment with the Magic System, which can overwrite the current and grant a random, new effect.
All effects obtained will be granted. Therefore the player may make use of three effects at a time, all of which have their own conditions, chances and stack maxima.

Deus Ragnarok
The U-Raid of chapter 2 was the first instance to feature U-grade items.
This version features Ragnarok in his final Angel-corrupted form as a Raid Boss.
Set Bonus for Deus Ragnarok's SSS grade equipment is featured on Raid.

Set Bonus for Deity U Gear
These items resemble the weapons that are equipped on Deity sprites but are not restricted to that specific Ally. Only this U-Raid features such items thus far.
Deity Sets are comprised of a pair of weapons: main and offhand. Only the 2 weapons from the corresponding Deity will trigger the Set Bonus. Equipping 2 of the same weapons from the set will also work.
This means that the same 2 Soul-daggers or 2 Soul-blades/swords (Greysoul weapons) may be used at will to create the Soul Set. Pieces from different Sets cannot be combined (Heaven's Orb and Yggdrasil's Wand won't trigger a Set Bonus).
They can be equipped on any ally or character, and will not grant any extra bonus to the Deity that they thematically belong to.
There are a total of 7 Sets available.
